Healthcare technology. A SaaS company providing software to healthcare organisations, founded from an active clinical practice.

An Apple A Day developed the brand and communication strategy for a healthcare technology company, translating a complex platform into a clear story that resonates with multiple target audiences.

The challenge

The company had a strong product and a solid foundation: technology developed and validated in daily clinical practice, with recognition from a leading AI accelerator programme. Yet the external story was difficult to capture. The platform acts as a bridge between a healthcare organisation’s existing systems and the people who use them. Making its value both significant and abstract.

Communication originated from the developer’s perspective: logically structured from the technology outward, with an emphasis on functionality. This worked for a technical audience, but it didn’t sharpen the proposition and failed to reach every target group. The challenge was to make the complex subject matter accessible and build a story that resonates with decision‑makers as well as people on the work floor.

The approach

We reversed the narrative: from outside in. The starting point became the value for the organisation and the user, not the technology itself. For the organisation, that meant efficiency and reduced administrative burden; for the healthcare professional, more time for primary care. We built the proposition from that value, with the products as the final layer.

To make the complex material digestible, we introduced structure in layers. A positioning pyramid organised everything from market to tool. A visualisation of the system landscape showed in a single image where the platform sits between existing systems and the work floor. Technology became understandable at a glance.

The story needed to land with different audiences, each with its own perspective. A board member weighs hard, measurable benefits: return, capacity, savings in administrative time. A healthcare professional looks at relief in daily work and is also part of the decision. We therefore built the communication around benefits rather than features, translating each benefit into the perspective of every audience.

Adoption was the key theme. New technology succeeds only when people are willing to take the step, so we focused the message on removing barriers: aligning with existing workflows and showing what the platform delivers in concrete terms.

We also wrote the pitch text and created versions for different markets, from national to international, ensuring the story fits each local context.

As a commercial direction, we outlined two routes: a modular platform for larger organisations, and standalone, accessible tools for smaller healthcare practices.

The result

A clear positioning that makes a complex technological story accessible and human. The company gained a brand and communication strategy, a benefit‑driven narrative that resonates with multiple audiences, and a pitch that adapts to the market. This gives them a consistent foundation for external communication including internationally.

Making a strong but complex technological story understandable and compelling. Communication originated from the technology, which meant the proposition wasn’t sharp and didn’t resonate with every audience.

We repositioned the company from the outside in and distilled a complex technological story into a clear proposition. We developed the brand and communication strategy, made the material accessible through sharp visualisations, and built a narrative that resonates with both leadership and the work floor. By introducing layered structure and translating it into clear visuals. A positioning pyramid and a system‑landscape visualisation show at a glance what something is and the value it delivers.

By communicating from benefits and translating each benefit into each perspective. A board member sees return and capacity; a healthcare professional sees relief in daily work. This removes barriers and increases adoption.
